THE SUCCESS PRINCIPLES

If you are still not disconnected from your personal dreams, then I recommend this book for you

One of my favorite book authors is Jack Canfield. He’s a coauthor of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series and one of the most famous success coaches nowadays. My wholehearted recommendations are for his and Brian Tracy’s books. I’m glad to say, they are my mentors through the power of their books.

Today I will write about Canfield’s book – The Success Principles. The book is encouraging, resourceful and a great guide towards a better you!

30 most powerful success principles, on how to achieve any goal and live a meaningful, joyful and abundant life, are presented in this book.

This book’s content is a great GPS for leading you towards the achievement of your goals. The Success Principles are full of actual success stories as a real proof that these principles work. You just need to incorporate them into your daily life. The following are some of the advises written in a book:

  • Practice persistence (for example, read a book at least 20 minutes a day).
  • Step out of your comfort zone (when you do – you will grow, even though there is a risk involved).
  • Feel the fear and do it anyway (don’t let your fears stop you from achieving your dreams).
  • Create a dream board (know exactly what you want, imagine like you already have it and work on making it happen).
  • Turn your doubts into trust (create unshakable belief in yourself).
  • Take 100% responsibility for your life (don’t blame others for your failures, you make your own choices in life).
  • E+R=O (emotion, response, outcome). If you don’t like your outcomes, change your responses.
  • Give up from all of your excuses.
  • Everything you experience today is the result of choices you made in the past.
  • You have control only over three things in life: your thoughts, images you visualize and actions you take.
  • Dr. Daniel Amen’s 18/40/60 Rule: When you’re 18, you worry about what everybody is thinking of you; when you are 40, you don’t give a darn what anybody thinks of you; when you’re 60, you realize nobody’s been thinking about you at all.
  • Use the law of attraction (our thoughts are made up of energy , they can impact our physical world).
  • To spend more, first make more.
  • Create multiple sources of income.
  • Write down all the goal you want to achieve in your life.
  • Break your goals into smaller tasks.
  • Considerations, fears and roadblocks are not a stop sign in the process of achieving your goals. They are just part of the success process.
  • Utilize mind mapping technique to achieve your goals.
  • Make a daily to-do list.
  • Plan your day the night before.
  • Ask someone who has already done it.
  • Build your success team.
  • Commit to a lifelong learning.
  • Transform you inner critic into your inner coach.
  • Practice uncommon appreciation.
  • Empower yourself by empowering others…

Many empowering quotes are mentioned in the book as well:

“If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is compromise”. – Robert Fritz

“If you’re bored with life, if you don’t get up every morning with a burning desire to do things – you don’t have enough goals”. – Lou Holtz

“The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex, overwhelming tasks into small, manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one.” – Mark Twain

“For every failure, there’s an alternative course of action. You just have to find it. When you come to a roadblock, take a detour.” – Mary Kay Ash
